WHICH
ABOVE MANUAL DO I NEED?
There are several different types of CHERRY MASTERS OR 8 LINERS
available today. These are defined
by the type of computer programs installed in each.
It is important to know the difference between the programs, as there are
some programs which cannot be beat, others which can and others which can be
altered to look like a beatable machine but actually are not.
Your first priority is to determine which type of program each machine
has and if it is beatable.
When you find machines you want to play, there are some telltale signs
that you should look for before you begin.
First, you want to determine what kind of program is being used in each
machine. You can do this by sitting
back and watching as each machine goes through its “screens”.
These are the screens that you see before any money is placed in the
machine. It is easy to determine
the difference between Cherry Masters, Cherry Bonus III’s & Magical Odds,
but beyond that, there are many things you can learn by just watching these
screens.
We will be dealing mostly with Cherry Masters, or Eight Liners, so
let’s start with them.
First, determine what company produced this particular type of program.
You do this by looking at the actual game screen when it flashes.
In the upper left-hand corner you will find the name.
It could be a Dyna or a Game.
These are the two common names you will see.
There are others, for example, ED-95
may appear. While Dyna’s and
Games are mostly beatable, the ED-95 is only beatable on “hold machines” and
some companies are not beatable at all.
Second, watch as the different screens scroll by.
You will see several screens. The
title screen will show the name of the program and in some cases, the maker and
the date. The payoff screen will
show you the different payoffs for certain wins and has a flashing picture of a
woman which moves around the screen. The
game screen will show you exactly which program this machine has.
You need to look at different aspects of that screen to figure out how to
play it. This screen will usually
tell you how high the “cherry bonus” and the “bell bonus” goes.
You can determine whether or not the cherries go to 12, 9, 6 or 3 and
whether the bells go to 7, 3 or 2. Usually,
you would not want to play the machines that do not go to 12 and 7.
These take a lot longer and more money to beat.
The lower the cherries and bells go, the better off you are.
You will also be able to see, to an extent, whether or not this machine
has been recently reset or been played. If
the cherries are at 6 and the bells at 3 and the pool is at 0, assume that this
machine has recently been reset. Look
around at the other machines in that room to see if they look like they have
been reset also. If so, it’s best
to wait until these machines have had a few days of play. Next, you will want to find out if and how you can beat this machine. Put a $1.00 bill into the machine. First, try to bet just one credit. Press “bet”, then “start”. If it begins to scroll, you’ve passed a big test. This means that you will not need one of the “minimum 8 bet systems.” You now need to know whether or not the program has been altered to keep you from beating it. To determine this alteration, do the following:
1) Play the machine normally; betting eight credits until you
have a winner. Then start playing
as follows: 2)
Bet
one credit, press start. If you do
not have a winner, do this again. Continue
until you have had five continuous losers. 3)
Bet
eight credits, press start. You are
looking to see if the program lines up anything (3 in a row).
It could be bells, cherries, any bars, oranges or plums.
Or it could give you two 7’s anywhere on the screen.
If it gives you any of these winners, then the machine is okay to play.
If it fails to do this, it would have given you a winner of some other
type – one cherry, or lined up two cherries.
You will repeat this system until either you have gotten a true winner
(lined something up) or until you are certain that you won’t get a winner.
You may want to play off three to five dollars worth of credits.
If it doesn’t give you a true winner then do not play this machine.
It is specifically designed to keep you from winning using these systems. 1)
If the name in the top left corner of the screen reads DYNA, then use the
system titled “DYNA”. These
screens will also show one watermelon
in the bottom left corner. This
shows that there is a watermelon bonus.
There will also be an untitled fruit bonus in the upper right corner.
This bonus usually begins at 0 and pays off at 3 and normally the bonus
is 200 points. 2)
Look at the top and toward the right.
If there is a fruit bonus that is shown as:
“EX. FRUIT BONUS 1200 3”,
and if there is a bonus in the bottom left corner which reads “CB 0”, then
you will used the system titled: “DYNA
3” 3)
If there are no watermelon bonuses, fruit bonuses or other bonuses and
the screen does not have any special features, then you will more than likely be
using the system titled: “MAIN
SYSTEM” 4)
If the program is one described in #2, yet you cannot bet just 1 credit,
you will use the system titled: “MINIMUM
BET 8 HOLD MACHINES” 5)
If the program is one described in #3, yet you cannot bet just 1 credit,
you will use the systems titled: “MINIMUM
BET 8 SYSTEM” 6) If the program is a Cherry Bonus III, use the system titled: “CHERRY BONUS III”
